Background
I am a Software Engineer with a background in Mathematics and an enthusiasm for both domains. Over the years, I have been occupied more with building software systems on a professional basis than doing Mathematics, but I have always had the latter in the back of my mind and sought opportunities of using it to support the development of correct and trustworthy software.
Objectives of this Blog/Journal Space
At the same time, I am interested in improving the way Mathematics is perceived by people. I consider it an indispensable part of human culture and seek to present, perhaps defend it as such (hence the ‘knight’). Furthermore, I understand that Software Engineering is a discipline, which has a lot to do with society in general and is not limited to the world of computers and associated devices.
I have set up this journal space to accomodate articles that I will be writing along these lines. However, I will not be restricting it to that. So, if you have very little or nothing to do with Mathematics or Software Engineering, there’s no need to stay away from this space forever :-). I will, from time to time, post material with a different content and I hope you will forgive me for not missing the opportunity to highlight any relationship between that and the two disciplines.
Languages
You may find some of my articles written in Modern Hellenic. This is the only language I speak other than English. If you do not understand it, then do not worry: Either I will have provided a translation of the article into English or the article will be intended only for speakers of Modern Hellenic.
